So, today was my birthday and I am now officially an adult, whatever that means. Of course it hasn't really sunk in yet. I'm not really sure what needs to sink in, but I bet there is supposed to be something.

Eighteen seems to be portayed as the magical number where you're suddenly turned loose into this crazy world and you can do whatever you want.. but I think that's silly. I think eighteen brings on a whole new sense of responsibility, which is really intimidating. It's almost like you have to know what you're doing, where you're going, and have all the answers.. and not make any mistakes. I guess that all comes with time though. It isn't like you turn eighteen and you're suddenly filled with immense wisdom.

Well, I"m off to bed, capping off my first day of adulthood.
