I haven't really felt like posting outfit pics lately because I haven't worn anything exciting. I don't think you guys want to see me in my lounge wear. Haha. I did got to Target a couple days ago and find some great clearance clothes.... But alas, this ties into my next train of thought:
I honestly feel really disgusted with how many clothes I own. I was thinking about it yesterday, and then I happened upon the new post over at Apricot Tea, which totally matched up with how I was feeling. I think I especially feel this way because a lot of the time I stick to the few same pieces either because they're comfortable or just because I feel like being safe. I obviously don't wear all my clothes equally, meaning I HAVE TOO MANY.
So in lieu of this obvious epiphany (that my mom has been waiting me to have for eons..), I decided to go through all my drawers, boxes, and hangers last night. I picked out what I have not worn in ages, what I probably won't wear ever again, and/or doesn't even fit me anymore and tossed it all in a huge trash bag. Ideally, I want to sell some of it on eBay or something because some of the items I have only worn once. The rest I'll donate to my favorite thrift stores. I feel really good about this. It feels like I"m releasing baggage or something, which I literally am. Haha.
The second part of my quest to feel less disgusted with my shopaholic self is to abstain from shopping trips for the rest of the month (!!!). I know, I know - you're thinking, "Yeah right! This girl goes shopping every other day!" But I think I can manage this one, as long as I veer myself away from sales and clearance racks, because those are my biggest weaknesses. Plus, this way I will get a chance to put together new outfits with clothes I already have AND save money. Perfect, right? Yessssss.
Wish me luck! :)
