Nothing brightens my day more than a fresh manicure and pedicure.

It instantly gives me a kind of peace.

Yesterday, on my first outing alone since getting my license, I picked up a few groceries and then hopped over to one of my favorite beauty supply stores which is conveniently close ;) I was on the hunt for a deep, blood red which, surprisingly, my nail polish collection was lacking. I went straight to my favorite polish brand, OPI, because I knew they always have brilliant reds. I was torn between a few choices that were all very similar, making it that much harder to just pick one. I ended up with one called "Got the Blues for Red." I think it is perfect :D

I was in dire need of a pedicure, so today I whipped off my old nail polish and entered my "polish zone." Haha :)

In addition to the red, I happened upon a nude color called "Skinny Dippin' in Lake Michg'n" which I had just read a review about on All Lacquered Up the other day. It was in the "buy 2, get 1 free" bucket, so I grabbed it and took it with me to the counter. I asked how much it would be if I just got the regular priced one and the BTGO bottle. The cashier told me I had to buy 2 to get it free (duh) so then I said I would just purchase the red then. I think she must have wanted me to get it, though, because she turned to the manager and asked her, "Can we just give her 50% off this one?" So how could I say no to that? Haha :) I think it may become my new favorite neutral.

Also, I thought it was funny because I set both of these bottles down on a book I got from the library, and they matched the cover perfectly!
Coincidence, no? :)
