Today has been such a long day, but it's been so awesome! I ended up going to this gift card giveaway IKEA was having to the first 1,000 people at opening. We spent SEVEN HOURS there total! We got there around 7:30 am, and waited around in line until around 10 am.
Only a fraction of the massive crowd.
We got wristbands, then we were herded into the store and picked a gift card at random. They were giving away cards ranging in $10-$1,000, but I wasn't really expecting to get a huge amount. I chose a card and furiously scratched off the silver coating over the amount number. Apparently I chose a good one because I got $100!!! I couldn't believe it! My mom (who got a $25 one) and I were so happy that we hadn't waited in line that long to get only like, a $10 one. Haha!
I'm a winner!
It was just so perfect since I just moved into my own place. I really did need a few things. After perusing the entire store, I settled on a few key pieces (pictured in my room already!):
Clothes rack
Floor lamp
Storage bins
Trash can&bath mat
I am so thankful and excited :) My place is finally coming together! We worked on it for a couple hours after we got home and it's looking pretty sweet.
Have a lovely rest of the weekend! I'll be basking in my lovely area and enjoying my free furniture. Hehe :)

Safe! I would love to do that! I'm insanely envious, you have no idea. iKea is my haven. When I was little, I imagined it was a big town covered with wooden furnishings. I hide behind the dressers and beds. My mom is a big fan along with Pottery Barn. Haha. I would love to venture into the store and snatch anything I wanted. Then interior decorate something, anything. Imagine if you had gotten that thousand dollar giftcard! Have a good week, and a good Mothers Day too. :)
